See you on Sunday!

Read the rest of this entry »
Logie. Back to work KS sa next PDM! Shalom!
Shalom!
“Group hug!” is an exclamation usually heard from the cute and alien-like mascots, the TELETUBBIES. Though it may sound absurd, Tinky-winky, Lala, Dipsy and Po say this to show love and care. They also give a feeling of togetherness whenever they do this.
A very sweet and warm episode had past last Sunday, October 26, 2008 and, like the previous KS gathering, many have been there to show LOVE with the grace of the Lord. We sang praises to our Lord and we made sure our neighbors heard it! “Yes Lord, Yes Lord Yes Yes Lord” was all over the hall. After prayer and praise and some news, we had a very tiring game at the court. Everyone was blindfolded and was grouped into sets of four. We thought it was just a typical “group yourselves according to animal sound” game but it was actually more. After finding our group mates using animal sounds, we were handed a rope and was instructed to make a rectangle out of that while blind folded. It took a lot of effort and strategy. Going back to our episode’s real essence, we were doing this to show oneness or unity among the groups. There were no winners. We just had to finish the task at hand.
At snack time we had buns stuffed with ground beef. After that, the most important part of “Pass d’ Msg”, we had a little inspirational talk from our beloved pastor, Ptr. Benjie. He started with a story of a cone and how it was conceptualized. We ordinarily would not spare a minute to think of how an ice cream cone was developed. That was probably why many were fascinated about it. Making the long story short, the cone maker benefits the ice cream maker and vice versa. We all need each other. Take it or leave it! The fingers need the hand. The hand needs the arm. The arm needs the shoulders. Simple yet meaningful. We will be more functional and effective if we could just be like those four funny cute aliens. KS, let’s have a group hug!
Weeks of tiring preparations and conceptualizations have passed; Kabanatang sulo finally launched its most awaited event of the year, the PASS d’ MSG!
The debut episode “breakthrough” was indeed a break-through.
Last October 12, 2008 many have come to witness as Kabanatang sulo relight its torch.
FCL (Novaliches’ friend, one call away) was first on our list. They never fail us. There also came some Banlat and Bagong Silang friends. Though they were quite far from Novaliches, Morethan2 great minds were also there to support us! Thank you Katedral friends. THANK YOU EVERYONE.
After years of stillness on the multipurpose hall of Beulah land also known as Agapita, it was finally filled of young hearts delight with compassion in praising the Lord. The worship hour was of course led by Kabanatang sulo prayer and praise team. After a soul satisfying moment of lifting our Father’s name, Kuya Gam, Paolo Bediones wanna be, oriented us in what would be the stream of our program and some other stuffs. The first episode of pass d’ msg was really an enjoyable one. We occupied Beulah’s basketball court for our group dynamics, as if there were bunch of little kids playing and shouting. They had tough times accomplishing the game but I think “stress balls” relieved the stress of the winners. Right? After a consuming game, we enjoyed a yummy gulaman and sugar filled bread prepared by some of KS parents. We are also fed spiritually as Deac. Grace spoke for us about different lights. She used metaphoric illustrations of Christian youth and its resemblance to light. We were encouraged to be lightened, be a light to others and like what a shampoo commercial theme song declares “I’m shinning on, all because of You”.
We also get to know the most controversial participant of Pass d’ msg and is a creation of Pass d’ msg’s architect, “Ms. Piggy”. She is a hungry pig who would support pass d’ msg financially. Many were surprised to see Ms. Piggy because of her cuteness and in fact she doesn’t look starving. Hope she would fully support further pass d’ msg episodes.
As a wrapping up ceremony and inauguration, Kabanatang sulo handed a torch and candles for our visitors. We altogether lighten up our torch to connote the revival of our flaring togetherness for His glory and to summarize all things up, Pastor Benjie led as in a closing prayer followed by the benediction of Pastor Ding. It was a solemn experience for everybody and to neutralized it, Kuya Gams ended the program by introducing the Pass d’ msg theme song, and with other IBC students they sure raise the hall’s roof.
